Apple Pay is approaching the ATM
Due to the fact that the iPhone and other modern smartphones are equipped with payment capabilities based on NFC technology, users are less likely to take with you to the store Bank cards. However, there may come a time when even for going to the ATM the presence of a plastic card can be optional. And judging by recent data, this point is not far off.
Representatives of Bank of America and Wells Fargo in an interview with TechCrunch said they are considering the possibility to equip their ATMs with chips that can interact with the payment system Apple Pay. Just imagine: you hold your iPhone to the ATM, select the amount without any further action cash money.
Of course, we are still talking only about the United States, but there is no doubt that this technology will spread around the world. And by that time, perhaps there will be only one question: if Apple Pay will work everywhere, then why do we need to withdraw cash?
