FAS has promised to prevent a rise in price Apple technology in Russia
The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) will continue to monitor the pricing on Apple equipment in Russia. About it told TASS Deputy head, state Secretary of the FAS, Andrey tsarikovskiy, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International legal forum.
Previously, the Agency found the company guilty of coordinating the prices of certain models of the iPhone fifth and sixth generation.

In August last year, the FAS initiated a case under part 5 of article 11 of the law on protection of competition in relation to the structures of the Apple, seeing signs of coordination of the pricing of the retailers in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Having studied prices at 16 retailers, including Euroset, Eldorado, Svyaznoy, re:Store, Ozon.ru “Citylink”, Media Markt, “Mobilend” (brand of “Know-how”), “MegaFon” and “Beeline”, the FAS came to the conclusion that from the beginning of official sales iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in Russia, (that is, from the end of September 2015) most Resellers have set the same prices of smartphones and hold them for a certain time. A similar situation was found with other iPhone models.
The office suggested that such overlap may result from the coordination of pricing Apple is a “recommended” price of the iPhone was made by the Russian Resellers as required.
In turn, the American Corporation declared that dictate to retailers the price of the iPhone. Retailers also noted that set prices themselves on the basis of the existing market. Later, however, Apple decided to cooperate with the FAS, recognized, and eliminated the violation.
For violations the company faces a fine from 1 to 5 million rubles. in addition, officials of the company can apply the penalty from 40 thousand to 50 thousand rubles or disqualification for a term up to three years.
Consideration of the administrative case on the penalty to Apple is scheduled for may 26.
