[GENIUS] the password iCloud on Mac “keychain access” in OS X and slow switching between apps in iOS
Reliability, coupled with the simplicity, is the cornerstone that Apple founder Steve jobs laid into the Foundation of the “Apple” of the Corporation. However, whatever the technique, its operation process will inevitably arise various questions. Sometimes they are caused by malfunctioning software issues, at least — the fault of the electronics, but, fortunately, there is a category of problems that can be solved without going to repair or buy a new device. These are the questions most often asked in the comments, and in the Genius section, we will try to help.
The first issue is the constant password request on my Mac.
Once such situation is encountered, and your humble servant, and the culprit turned out to be built into the system of two-factor authentication. To check the status of the function, you want to go the management page of the Apple ID, where the item “Security” to generate separate passwords for apps. Next, you should check the apps themselves (in my case it was iMessage and FaceTime) on the subject of the request last. After logging into the services using a specific password problem was fixed. Of course, you can also try the easy way out and re sign in to iCloud account by means of the same item in panel “System preferences” of OS X.
The second question is about the function of “keychain access”, which securely stores passwords for user access with different devices.
In this case it is possible to make a diagnosis of “keychain” and how to troubleshoot problems using the built-in functions “First aid” called from the same point of the program located in the Utilities folder. Prior to the procedure (requires administrator password) select the “Check” and press the “Start” button, and if the system found the problem — the option “Restore”. Unfortunately, this solution only applies to versions of OS X to 10.11.2, as the function was abolished for safety reasons. Another option may be a simple disable and re-enable the “keychain” section under “iCloud”, located in the “System preferences” of OS X.
In conclusion, consider the question, the answer to which was the author’s somewhat unexpected. The fact is that for a very long time on all my devices was observed, the same “oddity”: the multitasking panel invoked with a noticeable delay. For the first time attention was attracted by a comparison of the then revolutionary iPhone 4s with the previous generation of the gadget on the same firmware version. As you may have guessed, the comparison was not in favor of the first. The same situation was observed with the iPad Air from UAE, in which the problem was absent when the menu is invoked by the gesture on the screen, and later — with the iPhone 6s, which opened it more slowly than his “brother” four years ago. The cases are United by one thing: all devices were restored from backups, so it obviously was either a special, or unlikely error in iCloud. Fortunately, a solution was found quite by accident, and the culprit was one of the functions of the Universal access shortcuts.
Using this option you can assign a triple tap of the Home button with various additional steps, and in my case it was the inversion of colors.
P. S. the Above iPhone 4s the other day was updated to the current iOS version is 9.2.1. In my opinion, the improvements are visible to the naked eye, in many ways, the device works faster than running its predecessor iOS 8, and this is especially noticeable in the base application. As usual, Apple’s policy to support the gadgets on top, the increased responsiveness of the interface on that old by the standards of the industry the device can not but rejoice. Concerning occasionally voiced complaints about “slow” with respect to iOS 7.x, or 6.x we can once again recall that “nine” is the fourth update for this smartphone. To maintain performance at the same level is impossible in principle, especially since most opponents 4s sent long ago to the dustbin of history. By the way, I suggest to take another look at videosevennine from iAppleBytes.
As you can see, some problems are easy to solve on their own. If you encounter any of them, feel free to ask for advice in the comments to this entry, and how to make the gadgets easier and more convenient, you can find in the publications of the author with notes [OS X] [iOS] and [Watch]. Of course, in the discussion encouraged mutual assistance and the exchange of ideas, which are then taken into account in the preparation of the editions. I’ll see you next time!
