Last chance to “rollback” to iOS 9.1
Although most iOS devices 9.2 works better than the previous versions of the mobile operating system from Apple, some users (especially iPhone owners) may want to “roll back” to iOS 9.1, so to speak, to wait until “better times”. But if you want to do this, should hurry.
The fact that very soon Apple may stop signing iOS 9.1 — this will probably happen by the end of this week. Which means the company will close only the window with which it is still possible to “rollback” to iOS 9.2
How to perform the procedure to downgrade?
- First perform a backup of the iOS device. Just in case, better to make a backup in iCloud and using iTunes. It would be safer.
- After that, download the firmware number 9.1. The IPSW file is already available in the Network — for example, here.
- Connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes (on Windows or OS X). Select the device and while pressing Option (on OS X) or Shift (on Windows), click Restore.
Select the downloaded firmware and start the restore procedure. Once the downgrade is complete, you can either configure the device as a new device or restore it from a backup.
