Media: sale headphone AirPods will start in the coming days
Apple CEO Tim cook has promised to release AirPods wireless headphones for the holiday season, but the output device still did not take place. The hitch with the release of news upset fans and became one of the biggest failures in the history of the “Apple” brand.
As told in his podcast, respected journalist John Gruber, sales AirPods can begin as early as this week. The device is expected in the coming days, though the first batch will be limited, leading to longer delivery times accessory.
“They came close to to miss the holiday season, said Gruber. But in the last 24 hours I’ve heard from reliable sources familiar with the plans of the company that the release will take place soon. In fact, AirPods can go “in the next few days.”
Brand wireless headset for Apple was announced in September of this year. The release was scheduled for October, it was reported that the company will release 10 million to 15 million pairs. In the presentation it was said that the headphones will be equipped with a microphone, with which you can communicate with Siri. Then it was named and preliminary price new — 12 990 rubles.
AirPods was supposed to appear as a bold accessory to pair to the iPhone 7, which lacks a traditional headphone Jack.
In October it became known that the AirPods will be available later than originally planned. In late November, Apple CEO Tim cook responded to a letter from one of dissatisfied with the delay fans that asking when will start selling new headphones. CEO apologized and said that the wireless accessory is in the final pre-marketing stage, and Apple plans to start sending “in the next couple of weeks.”
However, while innovative Apple earphones never appeared in retail stores, and millions of fans, the company was dissatisfied with this turn of events.
Nick Hahn, an expert in Bluetooth technology and chief engineer of the British company WiFore, said that “the reason for the delay must be really serious”, because Apple voluntarily misses an opportunity to introduce a new product in time for Christmas.
The last time Apple delayed the launch of its product in 2010 was then pending release of the iPhone 4. According to the company, the reason for this was production problem.
