2018 MacBook Air slightly more powerful MacBook
MacBook Air 2018 with energy-efficient Intel processor passed the test Geekbench. He scored a little more points than the MacBook and MacBook Air 2017, but less than the MacBook Pro without Touch Bar.
2018 MacBook Air exists only in a version with an Intel Core i5-8210Y. This is a 7-watt chip, whose main task is to consume less energy while maintaining high performance. In the test Geekbench MacBook Air scored 2018 4248 points in single-core mode and 7828 points in multicore.
Surprisingly, this result is better than the MacBook Air with Intel Broadwell series processor with a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz, which is gaining 3335 points in single core test and 6119 in multi-core.
It is also faster than the MacBook 2017 with the most powerful Core M chip, but not much. Performance MacBook Air MacBook Pro loses 2018 2017 without the Touch Bar and the most affordable MacBook Pro 2018 c Touch Bar and an Intel Core i5 processor.
