Acer introduced a docking station for laptops with integrated graphics card Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M

Acer presented at Computex 2016 docking station External Graphics Dock (eGPU), which in addition to the connectors included in its composition graphics card Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M.

Acer External Graphics Dock is not just a housing for a separate graphics card. The device connects to laptops through the Thunderbolt connector and offers a range of connectors: three USB 3.0 ports, two DisplayPort, four HDMI, and Ethernet, and 3.5 mm audio Jack.

Parade of the interfaces completes the 3D-card Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M. Not to say that it’s a gaming solution, but in most modern games it will play.

eGPU is powered by power supply 135 W, and is connected to a computer using Thunderbolt 3. Device dimensions are 245 x 130 x 22.8 mm, weight – 700 g

The cost of such a device will be $300. The novelty will go on sale in the third quarter of 2016.
