As not only to read but to listen to our articles with Pocket

Our smartphones become smarter every year, but they still haven’t turned into pocket computers of the future, able to understand the owner not worse than people. Technology goes to this. Now you can have a dialogue with Siri, and not necessarily independently read your posts. The smartphone can do that for you. Actually the article that you are reading now and any other your smartphone can also read it out loud.

Imagine you’re on the go and on your iPhone with a characteristic sound comes a notification from the app The text in the notification attracts you, and you rather want to know what happened in the Apple world, but you feel distracted by reading the article. It would be great if your iPhone could read it, and he can Pocket.

Pocket is one of the most useful apps that you can find in the App Store. You can install it free via this link. Initially, users of this app has collected in it articles that they want to read then when you have time. The app downloaded the content of these articles and you can read them even without a Network connection. Over time, the Pocket app has acquired many other features, including text-to-speech.

To listen to an article, you need to download the app Pocket, open it and log in to your account or register. After that you can choose the article you want to listen in the app or in Safari, and press send.

In the list of applications with which you can share an article, you need to choose the app Pocket. If it is not on this list, click on the “More” button and add the Pocket to the list.

Then open the Pocket app and you will see an article added. Open to read and select additional options in the lower right corner of the app. You will see the function “Listen (TTS)”.

Once you select it, will start reading the article. You can edit the speed of reading during the audition.

It should be noted that if the title of the article starts with English words, for example with the word “Apple”, you have to listen very unusual Russian speech with a strong foreign accent. If the article begins with the Russian word, speech synthesizer handles quite well. Happy listening.
