Huawei's Hongmeng OS won't be released on smartphones

Huawei vice president Katherine Chen said that the company's own operating system, codenamed Hongmeng, will not compete with Android.

Chen argues that Hongmeng was never intended to replace Android. Ostensibly it was originally developed for another. For example, for Internet of Things devices.

At the same time, the screenshots of smartphone screens installed by Hongmeng flowed to the Network.

She also said that Hongmeng contains several hundred thousand lines of code, and not tens of millions, as in other mobile operating systems.

Founder of Huawei told about the technological lag of the United States

The founder and CEO of Huawei, Ren Zhengfei, gave a great interview to Yahoo Finance. It was mainly about US sanctions.

Ren Zhengfei said that in the first two weeks after Huawei was blacklisted by companies threatening US national security, smartphone sales fell by 40%. The company lost $ 30 million.

The head of Huawei has once again declared that his company does not pose a threat to the United States. He believes that the sanctions are needed to "hold back the advanced technologies of Huawei."

“Let them have supercomputers, the US is still starting to fall behind, because they have no superfast connection,” said Ren Zhengfei.

Huawei came under US sanctions in May. Initially it was assumed that in August, US companies would not be allowed to work with it. Then the sanctions regime was relaxed: American partners will …

Samsung Galaxy S11 can be with sliding body

It became known that Samsung has patented a smartphone slider: the right side of the case will slide out, increasing the screen size by about 50%, transforming it into a small tablet. Presumably, the device may be the basis for the flagship device Galaxy S11.

The patent was filed with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) at the end of 2018. However, it was published only now.

The paper presents fourteen patent illustrations. On their basis, the portal Letsgodigital has developed renders of a possible view of what the Galaxy S11 will look like. The multi-module main camera will be located in the upper right corner of the case.

It is assumed that the smartphone will be released in early 2020.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 on Exynos processor faster than on Snapdragon

The Geekbench performance of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, the announcement of which will take place on August 7, has appeared on the web.

According to Geekbench, the model number SM-970F runs on an Exynos 9825 processor, it has 8 GB of RAM. Model number SM976V received a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and 12 GB of RAM.

The Snapdragon model has fewer points in a single-core test, but in multi-core it is slightly ahead of the model on Exynos. Probably, the future flagship of Samsung managed to achieve such indicators thanks to the optimization of the One UI shell for its own production chips.

This year, Samsung is expected to release three phones of the Note: Note 10 line, Note 10+ and the 5G version.

It took place on July 16, 2019, the company presented the result of two years of work – "neuron", reading information from the brain, and a robot for their safe implantation. Technology should help paralyzed people use computers and phones.

The thickness of the "threads" from 4 to 6 microns, less than a human hair, they are faster than existing analogues read data from the brain and transmit them to the sensor, which is installed on the skull. They will be implanted by a neurosurgical robot capable of installing six "threads" per minute.
