Facebook has blocked the inhabitants of the Crimea paid services
Social network Facebook has imposed sanctions against residents of the Crimea. The social network has disabled ad user accounts and blocked access to their promotional services. As has told “RIA Novosti” businessmen, engaged in the promotion of their products and services through Facebook, lock their pages started on 1 June.
Account suspension occurs automatically when a user logs into the system with any Crimean identifier. Thus when logging into the social network with IP addresses not registered in the Crimea, advertising profiles do not resume work.
When contacting support service users who experience lock-in, the answer was: “We have disabled the ability to make payments on your account, because you are in a region where this function is not supported. We are very sorry if this brings you any inconvenience”.
“Crimean marketers have long mastered the services that “interrupt” IP addresses, like TOR browser and applications to ordinary browsers. But in the case of Facebook it’s not working. It should be a time to “light up” with the Crimean IP addresses and all, you “remember” — said marketing specialist and Vice-President of the Association of independent hotels of the Crimea Natalia, Pracy.
As the newspaper notes SearchEngines, the lock applies to all users that are physically located on the territory of Crimea. Accounts are disabled regardless of card data with which payments were made, linked to the page of phone numbers and the profile of the region.
