Hackers tried to infiltrate Apple for bribes
Apparently, desperate to break the concrete wall of cyber protection in Cupertino, hackers decided to choose a new strategy based on bribery. According to the publication Business Insider, Apple employees talk about what the criminals contact them and offer substantial bribes for providing confidential data.
Sources from the European division of Apple in Cork (Ireland), who wished to remain anonymous, reported that for the Apple ID of an employee the company is offering a reward of up to 20,000 euros. If any of the employees give their consent, the consequences for the company could be catastrophic.
Obtaining personal data of members will provide hackers access to more important information: for example, user data and information about intellectual property Apple. Meanwhile, one Apple ID for access to this kind of treasure is not enough.
According to sources, the company is very serious about security, so without special authorization to enter into the Holy of holies is unlikely to succeed. Let’s hope that Apple employees will show loyalty and will not sell for thirty pieces of silver, the most valuable information.
