How to disable autorun apps “Photo”
If you have a Mac and at least sometimes connects iPhone, iPad, memory card or other accessory, you should be annoyed by the Photos app, which itself is run at each connection. Finally found a solution to this problem, and nothing complicated in it.
To disable the AutoPlay “Photo”, simply open “Terminal” (you can do this using Spotlight), and then enter the command below:
defaults-currentHost write com.apple.ImageCapture disableHotPlug -bool YES
Press Enter and… More the app will not disturb you when you connect one or another accessory. For photographers, editors, and those who often connect to MacBook memory card, this is a real find.
In case you suddenly needed again AutoPlay “Photos”, change the setting from YES to NO.
Of course, there is another way — manually every time to put “tick” to disable startup programs. However, first, it is not so convenient, and secondly, it works through time — tested on multiple computers in our office.
