How to give Siri a command using text instead of voice

Siri is the intelligent personal assistant, which helps to perform various actions. Using the function, you can send messages, dial phone numbers, to follow the calendar.

The user can ask Siri to find directions, to answer the question on the General topics, set reminders, and more. All with simple commands in natural language. In some situations, however, make voice requests to Siri is not very convenient: for example, in a meeting or in a noisy transport. In such situations, refer to the voice assistant you can use text commands.

How to ask Siri a text instead of a voice:

Step 1: Press and hold the Home button or say “Hey Siri” if you have enabled background work Siri.

Step 2: Say into the microphone something like “How’s it going?”.

Step 3: Click “Tap to edit” below your request.

Step 4: Enter the command to Siri by hand.

Step 5: Press “Done” in the lower right corner of the keyboard.

In the result, Siri will respond to your query text. The only feature of this method is that you have to first say something into the microphone. Without this, enter the query via the keyboard will not work.

It is hoped that Apple will eliminate this defect in the new operating system iOS 10 or one of the updates.
