Instagram has accidentally published user passwords

Some Instagram users who downloaded their data, were the victims of errors of service, where passwords appear in the browser address bar.

When Instagram users want to upload their data, they have introduced the password of your account, which is then shown in the address bar, stored on devices and servers Facebook.

According to the representative of Instagram, the problem affects only a small percentage of the US population. All users affected received a letter with a request to change the password and to clear their browser history so nobody could see the password. The very error in the company corrected.

Instagram added the ability to upload personal data in April 2018 to comply with the rules GDPR. At the request of users, within 48 hours, Instagram sends a letter with a complete copy of everything that they did in Instagram and what data is collected by the company.
