MTS dispersed network LTE up to 150 Mbps
Operator MTS announced the introduction of LTE-Advanced technology, which allowed to double the peak rate in the network “fourth generation” MTS. Now the residents of the city among the very first “surf” in LTE networks at speeds up to 150 Mbps.
Aggregation of frequencies became possible with the launch of technacally LTE network on 1800 MHz to complement existing network “fourth generation” in the frequency range 2600 MHz. In addition to improving the speed of data transfer in places where the technology involved LTE-Advanced, the use of the 1800 MHz band allows more than two times to expand the coverage area of one base station of the “fourth generation” compared with the traditional LTE-2600.
However, the signal LTE-1800 penetrates better into confined spaces, improving the quality of 4G coverage in homes, educational institutions, shopping and business centers and other city buildings, the company said. Standard LTE-1800 supports up to 90% of the models of LTE devices. Now to use 4G Internet access can also the owners of gadgets that do not support other common in Russia the LTE bands like the iPhone 5 and iPad mini.
“With the launch of 4G on the new frequencies, our network was multiband. This allows us flexibility in network construction in complex climatic and natural conditions. And thanks to the data transmission in multiple frequency bands to our subscribers became available over a high speed not only in 4G, but in 3G, depending on the needs of the user the load is evenly distributed between modern communication standards”, — said the technical Director of MTS.
In MTS noted that the projects for the refarming of 1800 MHz band in the construction of LTE networks is implemented in Moscow, Bashkortostan, St.-Petersburg and Leningrad region, Krasnodar territory, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Yaroslavl regions, Khanty-Mansiysk, Yakutia and Perm region.
