Rival MacBook Pro from Lenovo received the processors Kaby Lake, fingerprint scanner, USB-C and autonomy at 15 hours

Lenovo introduced its new flagship laptop ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the speaker in the same category with a series of MacBook Pro. The announcement took place ahead of schedule – canadian division of the company accidentally published a page with full specs and promo videos.

The 14-inch ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2017, reportedly, embodied the most advanced technological solutions to become more productive through the use of processor Intel Core i architecture Kaby Lake and was more compact than the predecessor. Dimensions and weight of new items — 323,5 x 217,1 x 15,95 mm and 1.14 kg. For comparison, the dimensions and weight of the latest generation of MacBook Pro screen 13″ — 304 x 212 x 14.9 mm and 1.37 kg 15″ – 349 x 240 x 15.5 mm and 1.83 kg.

The laptop uses Intel Core i7-7600U with vPro, RAM the maximum amount specified is 16 GB. Displays a diagonal of a choice of two: a resolution of 2560 x 1440 or 1920 x 1080 pixels. The maximum brightness of the LCD panels are the same — 300 CD/sq. m.

2017 ThinkPad X1 Carbon is equipped with SSD 128GB (SATA), 180 GB (SATA) 256 GB (PCIe), 512GB (PCIe) or 1 TB (PCIe). The maximum autonomy of the device is 15 hours. At the same time declared support fast-charging technology that allows you to replenish the battery to 80% in just an hour.

The model received two USB-C port with support for Thunderbolt 3 and a slot for memory cards microSD. Among the interfaces there is also a pair of USB 3.0 ports, RJ-45, HDMI, two USB 3.0, as well as modules Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.2. In versions with built-in LTE modem, the Snapdragon X7 has a slot for SIM-cards. In the list of optional equipment including laptop adapters, NFC, and WiGig.
