Royole the Chinese company introduced the world’s first flexible smartphone
The creators presented smartphone called FlexPai 31 Oct. Information about this can be found on the official website of the Royole.
Royole is a Chinese brand founded in 2012 by alumni of the faculty of engineering of Stanford. The main activity Royole — technology: since 2012, the Chinese managed to invent the world’s thinnest full-color AMOLED display (2014), foldable mobile 3D cinema (2015) and a curved instrument panel for car (2016).
31 October 2018 released smartphone from the company called FlexPai. The public has dubbed it the first phone with a flexible screen.
Royole equipped with a new 7.8 inch flexible AMOLED touch-screen with a resolution of 1920×1140 and a compression ratio of 4:3. In the display FlexPai of developers have built more than 20 million led lights and nearly 100 types of thin-film multilayer materials. Royole tested the device by bending, twisting, stretching and falling.
FlexPai is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series. There are three versions of smartphone: with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB built-in storage, with 8GB and 256 GB and 8 GB and 512 GB, respectively. The phone has a dual camera at 16 MP and 20 MP with optical stabilization. The battery capacity of 3800 mAh, charged FlexPai through the USB-C port with support for fast charging.
FlexPai weight is 320 grams, the size— 134*190,35*7,6 mm. In box Royole promises to put an adapter, 5V/5A, cable with USB type-C, such as headphones and an adapter from 3.5 mm Jack.
The phone is already available in China: sale starts at 10:01 on the first of November at the Chinese time. For the version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB built-in store, asked the Chinese 1291 dollar for extended versions — 1433 1864 dollar and dollar, respectively.
