Sega and Nintendo “revived” retro Mega Drive and NES
Sega has decided to revive the popular in the 1980-1990s console the Sega Mega Drive and introduced a new version of the device. Such a decision the company made after Nintendo with the success of Pokemon Go announced the “rebirth” of consoles NES, known in Russia as Dendy.
In honor of the 25th anniversary of the game Sonic company Sega has announced two retro console: Sega Mega Drive and Mega Drive/Genesis (pocket version).
Bundled with the Mega Drive comes with two joystick and a cable to connect to TV, but the mobile version — USB wire for charging. Consoles are also equipped with a SD card slot for downloading additional games via ROM files and will maintain the original cartridges.
Both devices will come with built-in games from Sega: Sonic, Mortal Kombat 1-3, Golden Axe and Comix Zone. Full list of pre-installed games:
Both models will cost about $ 65 and will go on sale in October.
Previously, Nintendo announced the release of the Nintendo Classic Mini — copies of the NES classic with preloaded with 30 games including Mario Bross, Pac-man, Donkey Kond, The Legend of Zelda and others. The console will cost $ 60, its sales will begin November 11, 2016.
