Tim cook is raising money for the election campaign of Hillary Clinton
Apple CEO Tim cook will hold a special event in support of Hillary Clinton, who is running for the US presidency from the Democratic party. Cook organizes the project with Lisa Jackson, Apple’s Vice President for environment, ethics and social initiatives.
The launch of the project in support of Hillary Clinton is a private initiative of cook and Jackson, not Apple. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the “Foundation of victory Clinton” (Hillary Victory Fund). The fact that the maximum contribution that an individual can do to support policy in the election, is $2700.
While the Clinton Foundation has the right to make larger donations because of the organizational moments- it includes not a single Committee dedicated to raising funds to advance the candidate for the White house, and a few dozen that are directly related to the Democratic party, which intends to run Clinton.
Wednesday, July 27, former U.S. Secretary of state Hillary Clinton officially became a candidate for the U.S. presidency from the Democratic party. The decision was taken during the national party Congress in Philadelphia. The United States presidential election will be held on 8 November, for the seat in the White house Clinton have to fight with the Republican Donald trump.
Trump has repeatedly criticized Apple. In January, he said that he would seek from the Corporation the return of Apple production in the United States. “We’ll force Apple to make its damned computers and other gadgets in our country and not in other countries,” he said. In February, trump criticized Apple for refusing to help law enforcement agencies in hacking the iPhone to one of the shooters from San Bernardino. “Who do they think they are?” – he was indignant. He later called for a boycott of the company’s products.
