[Watch] Changing the language for voice input

Perhaps the voice recognition function is the most convenient way to reply to messages with Apple Watch. Still, it is enough just to say the desired phrase, and automation converts the audio to plain text. But here’s the thing: some apps stubbornly refuse to record speech in the desired language, regardless of such messages. To solve the problem, as it turned out, simple and elegant.

It just so happened that your humble servant has daily to deal with many messages. Answer them with the help of smart watch is quite comfortable, but imagine my surprise when instead of the standard phrase “how are you” when replying to SMS display an absolutely different word.

The same thing happened with the Telegram. At first suspicion fell, of course, in common language, however, in this case English. Install Siri also had no effect on voice input; in addition, the application Viber, and imessages, perfectly recognize the answers to the great and mighty. Of course, not taken messages in other languages. Fortunately, the solution was elementary — the clue was notorious feature Force Touch.

So, in order to change the language of voice input, you will need to perform two simple steps:

  • We are interested to open the program and select the option reply to the message.
  • To perform “strong” clicking on the screen.
  • In the menu that appears, select your preferred language.

The result is the very familiar phrase.

As mentioned above, the language of Siri or the interface itself does not matter. Of course, would not prevent the automatic installation depending on received messages, but it is a matter of the future. However, this is probably the closest.

I hope this simple trick will save time searching for solutions and will make the clock even more convenient. Enjoy your correspondence!
