What to do if iPhone will not send SMS?

IPhone owners often face problems in sending SMS and iMessage. iOS simply refuses to send the message and shows a red exclamation mark beside it. Why is this happening and how to solve this problem?

Regular SMS may not be sent for several reasons. First, it is the most obvious, the lack or poor coverage of cellular signal. In addition, there is an option when you have in the account just does not have enough cash, and without it SMS will not be sent (if you do not have unlimited package). But there are other issues that need to be corrected.

If SMS not sent (we are not talking about iMessage), first try a forced restart of the iPhone. Hold the Power and Home button for several seconds until the “Apple” on the screen.

Also, check SMS settings — make sure that you have turned on the toggle switch that sends a text message if iMessage is unavailable. You can find it in “Settings” — “Messages.” Another effective method is to reset network settings. Go to “Settings” — “General” — “Reset”.

Sometimes it helps deleting the message and resending it or unload an application from memory. At least one of these ways should help you to establish the sending of SMS on iPhone.
