Why the audio Jack in the iPhone is close to extinction
Looks like Apple really is preparing to say goodbye to the traditional 3.5 mm audio connector in favor of third-party solutions. Rumors about this have been circulating for a long time, and that information is confirmed by a fresh patent of the company from Cupertino.
This time Apple has patented an unusual model of “hybrid” headphones — you can connect not only via Bluetooth but also by means of the connector, compatible with digital and analog signals. Most likely, it is connected via Lightning, of course, if engineers will not abandon it in favor of USB Type-C.
The headphones also feature a built-in battery, memory and wireless module to connect via Bluetooth. In other words, if you wish, you can choose the way of listening your favourite songs.
How it will look this accessory? While that is a mystery, everywhere is only a schematic image. But Apple, apparently, bought Beats, not only because of the radio — surely we’ll soon see headphones with “Apple” on the pads?
