WatchOS 5.3 released: Apple returns the walkie-talkie to the watch
Apple released watchOS 5.3 for all Apple Watch models, with the exception of the very first one.
The OS update fixes a serious error in the “Radio” application, which allowed to eavesdrop on other people's conversations.
The vulnerability became known on July 11, after which Apple temporarily disabled the feature.
Also, watchOS 5.3 expanded the geography of the ECG functions for the Apple Watch Series 4 – now it is available in Canada and Singapore. In Russia – still not.
