Sony released the fastest SD card reader

Sony introduced the USB-hub MRW-W3 for reading UHS-II SD and microSD cards with processing speeds up to 300 Mbps. It is also equipped with USB-C and USB-A connectors and an HDMI output, which can be used to display video with a resolution of up to 4K at a speed of 30 frames per second. The card reader is designed for professional photographers who need to transfer large files quickly.

The case of the reader is made of aluminum and has a ribbed surface to protect from scratches, it also received a level of protection against moisture and dust IP68.

The MRW-W3 will go on sale in the fall of 2019 with a series of Tough SF-M memory cards of 64, 128 and 256 GB. The reading speed will be up to 277 Mb / s, and the record - up to 150 Mb / s. Prices for new items are still unknown.
