Apple plans to open first store branded retail network in South Korea – market, which is dominated by the main competitor “Apple”

Apple said that “enthusiastically awaits the opening of the first Apple store in South Korea,” calling this country “a leader in telecommunications and technology.” A company spokesman refused to talk about when will open a retail store company in South Korea, as well as where it will be located.
In September last year it was reported that Apple considers opening a store in the Gangnam area in the South-East of Seoul, where the headquarters of Samsung. One of the iPhone maker considered the places in the vicinity of the headquarters of Samsung which features the three-story shop South Korean manufacturer.
Today the American manufacturer has published on its website data about the opening 15 vacancies in South Korea, including as head of a retail store.
“Currently, we are gathering a team that will offer our customers in Seoul, services, education and entertainment services like Apple’s customers around the world,” — said the representative of the American company.
South Korea is a challenging market for Apple. The share of local manufacturers – Samsung and LG Electronics – account for about 80% of all sold in the country are smartphones.
Apple sells its products in South Korea with local mobile operators and third-party retailers who receive a license authorized representatives of Apple.
