Apple started selling Blackmagic eGPU Pro for $ 1199

New Blackmagic eGPU Pro, which Apple introduced along with the Mac mini and MacBook Air in late October, is now available in the Apple online store.

Blackmagic eGPU Pro equipped with a Radeon RX Vega 56 with 8GB memory HBM2, 3 and two Thunderbolt ports, four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4. The power station is 85 watts. This is enough to power the 15-inch MacBook Pro.

As with previous Blackmagic eGPU, the Pro version comes in an aluminum casing all-in-one. All Thunderbolt-enabled Mac 3, including Mac mini, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro eGPU support Blackmagic Pro.

Initially, Apple promised that the Blackmagic Pro eGPU will be released in late November, but then postponed the launch date of Dec. And while Apple has kept his promise, the buyers will still get the first station no earlier than 2019.
