Apple is proud of its devices. That is why every presentation is an event that tells about the latest achievements of the developers. However, some technical details Apple prefers to remain silent.

To see metrics such as processor speed and RAM, need to wait for an independent public tests that are conducted after the device on the market. The new iPad Pro has passed this test.

The new tablet is equipped with a processor Apple A12X Bionic with a frequency of 2.48 GHz. Unlike A10X Bionic to version 2017, this OCTA-core chip with four processor cores that provide the best performance. Four slower cores are used to ensure stable operation of the battery. Faster clock speed and more cores, in aggregate, lead to a significant increase in speed. Test iPad Pro 2018 on GeekBench 4 gave 18 015 points multidimensional processor. In the same test the iPad Pro 2017 scored a total of 9 331 points.

Also the testers were able to figure out the amount of installed RAM. It is noteworthy that this year the device with 1TB internal memory got 6 GB of RAM, while the tablet with a smaller amount of has got just 4 GB. This is the first such case in the history of the iPad. Previously, the RAM is not overlapped with the internal memory of the device.

Despite regular statements to the company that the iPad will soon become a full replacement for laptops, the developers refuse to give users a full report on the specs as, for example, in the case of a MacBook or iMac. Why Apple hides these features for iOS devices, remains a mystery.
