Apple has hired 50 doctors to work on new products

According to journalists, Apple has hired 50 doctors for consultation departments related to tracking technologies in the health of users. These developments are used in the iPhone, the Apple Watch and HealthKit devices.

As noted by the news Agency CNBC, citing multiple sources, Apple has hired new employees “not only to create the appearance that they are working on products for health”. The journalists managed to identify 20 doctors who are currently employed in the company, judging by their profiles in LinkedIn, but CNBC suggests that the number of “recruits” can reach 50 people.

Part of the difficulty in obtaining accurate data directly related to the excessive secrecy of Apple. According to various sources, a lot of doctors hide the fact that they work for a Corporation.

Among the recruited specialists including cardiologists, pediatricians and orthopedic surgeons. Some of the doctors have partnered with medical equipment manufacturer Zimmer Biomet to determine whether Apple technologies to expedite the recovery of patients.

Particular attention journalists paid specialist in family medicine Michael Evans and anesthesiologist Mike O’reilly, which was defined in group “special projects” by Apple.

Based on these data, the company from Cupertino is preparing fundamentally new products related to the health of consumers. It is worth noting that earlier this month, the iPhone maker has hired a General Director of a startup, Mango Health, and the function of the ECG in the Apple Watch Series 4 has already saved the life of one of the owners.
